Promoting Double-Up Food Bucks at Markets
Tuesday, May 14th, 11:30-1:30pm
ANNUAL CONFERENCE: Each year, CFMA hosts an engaging, informational conference to bring members face-to-face with other market managers, vendors, farmers, board members, employees and volunteers who are all involved in the Farmers Market arena; where they can network with resource professionals and policy makers from across the state.
Here folks are able to ask questions, network, and find answers to everything they want to know about operating and managing a market. Have the opportunity to learn more about what’s happening across the state, and get updated on state regulations and policies which affect our farmers and ranchers. Remember Farmers Markets are the cornerstone to many of our communities in Colorado and Keeping it Local isn’t just a logo, it’s a way of Life!
DOUBLE-UP FOOD BUCKS and SNAP: Join these efforts. CFMA partners with LiveWell Colorado to implement Double Up Food Bucks, a SNAP incentive program for low-income consumers of fresh fruits and vegetables. We also help vendors and markets become SNAP-authorized, resolve EBT issues, and reach new customers through these programs.
SOFTWARE DISCOUNT: Enjoy a discount on market software, Manage My Market.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT: Get technical support as market managers, agricultural producers, and value-added vendors to bring fresh, safe and local products to consumers …
…and member markets have a voice and a vote in all membership meetings and Board of Directors elections.
ADVOCACY & REGULATION
Have a voice! CFMA is an Associate Member of Rocky Mountain Farmers Union (RMFU), gaining CFMA members a lobbyist at the Colorado State Capital on a daily basis, regular legislative updates, participation in RMFU listening sessions, and call-ins on specific bills and policy actions.
Keep updated. The Colorado-Farm-to-Market website – which CFMA led the way in creating – helps you navigate the road from farm to market.
